The Downtown Phoenix Partnership (DPP), in conjunction with the downtown business community, has launched a free weekend trolley system that showcases the numerous entertainment options available in Downtown Phoenix. The open-air trolley, provided by Valley-based company Ollie the Trolley, runs every 15 minutes on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Riders can access such night spots as the Arizona Center, Heritage Square, Majerle’s Sports Grill, Matadors, Seamus McCaffrey’s, Sky Lounge and Stoudemire’s Downtown. The route will also include stops at downtown hotels, residential properties and visitor destinations, such as the Convention Center.
To make the system even more user-friendly, a Downtown Phoenix Ambassador rides the trolley offering information on everything from parking and special events to restaurants and bars. Easily recognizable thanks to their bright orange shirts that say “Ask me!” on the back, the Ambassadors are known for their concierge-style service and extensive downtown knowledge.
